Q: UPS switches off automatically after a very short time, but the battery indicator still shows (almost) full battery.
A: Every UPS has a certain maximum power output (W), but also a minimum required load. In order to work correclty, the connected load should be at least 5% of the maximum capacity of the UPS. For example, a 700 W UPS needs at least a connected load of 35 W to work. Otherwise it will shut itself down automatically as a safety measure to preserve the batteries. Also when the connected load is higher than the maximum capacity of the UPS, the device will shut down.
